Google Earth for Apple’s iPhone and iPod Touch launched Sunday, adding 3-D satellite views of the Earth from space to the iPhone’s existing GPS features – and the gyroscope accelerometer (see comments section for more on gyroscopes and accelerometers) that tells the iPhone when to switch from horizontal to visual display.
