The 8th Continent Project is a comprehensive effort to integrate space technology and resources into the global economy. The Project includes:
- the world’s first extraterrestrial Chamber of Commerce
- the 8th Continent Aerospace Business Incubator, hosted by the Boulder Innovation Center
- a funding network to connect start-ups with seed, angel and venture funding; and
- a research center at the Colorado School of Mines’ Center for Space Resources.
The Project’s mission is to organize and empower Space 2.0 – an emerging generation of entrepreneurial space-related business ventures.
Just a quick shout out to let people know about a really interesting event going on in Seattle, WA at the end of July. (July 31 – Aug 1):
Lunar Elevator Workshop (see http://www.spaceelevatorevents.com )
If you’re a reader of Space 2.0 blog, and especially if you live in the Northwest, you should think about attending! There are some very interesting concepts being discussed by people all over the United States!
